The 6-foot guard from Loganville, Georgia, had his greatest season to date last year. He played for a Utes squad that went 22-15 and placed eighth in the PAC-12 last season, averaging 13.3 points and 7.1 assists per game. In addition, he grabbed 6.3 rebounds per game.

In addition to leading the conference in assists per game, Smith shot nearly 41% from beyond the arc, a startling improvement over his 26% 3-point shooting from the previous season in Atlanta.

Along with Javon Small, another player Mark Pope is close with, Smith is among the top point guards to enter the league.
