Crystal Palace set to rival Nottingham Forest for in-demand Chelsea star

Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi would not be short of suitors if he was deemed surplus to requirement at Stamford Bridge.

CRYSTAL PALACE are keeping  close tabs on Callum Hudson Odoi’s future at Chelsea with the forward set to be assessed by new Chelsea manager MAURICIO POCHETTINO before a decision is made.

The Eagles face competition from Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest who have touched base with the player’s camp to register their interest if the Opportunity arises.

Odoi tipped by many to make the grades when he burst onto the scene and impressed in the first team has endured a brutal campaign out on loan at Bayer Leverkusen and has returned to Chelsea hoping to resurrect his career.

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Copper worked with Odoi during his days as England’s under-17 manager. Given his reputation as one who gets the best out of young players, a season playing regularly in the Premier League could do Odoi a world of good under a manager he knows very well.

The English youngster only managed six games with Leverkusen but there is enough talent out there for a manager to work with and Palace who have a good relationship with Chelsea could swoop for him if he is deemed surplus to requirement.
