BREAKING : Detroit Lions To Extend 2 Key Priorities Says HC Dan Campbell

The Detroit Lions entered the 2023 season with perhaps the most anticipation of any club in the league after concluding the 2022 NFL regular season with a 9-8 record and narrowly missing out on the NFL playoffs. Everyone was expecting Dan Campbell and company to make a significant leap.

The Lions managed to meet and exceed expectations in spite of the immense pressure of being anticipated to advance two leaps forward. As a result, the team won the NFC North Division title and advanced to the postseason.

Luckily for Detroit, the club was able to maintain its high level of play throughout the playoffs, as they defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams on route to earning a trip to the NFC Championship Game for the first time ever.

Detroit was eliminated in the second round by the San Francisco 49ers, who were unfortunately too strong for them. Nevertheless, the Lions have a bright future, particularly if they can retain the services of their two offensive players, who are perhaps the team’s greatest players.

Star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and quarterback Jared Goff are presently negotiating contract extensions with the Lions, according to Kyle Meinke of MLive.

May be a Twitter screenshot of 2 people and text that says "kyle meinke @kmeinke Extensions for Jared Goff and Amon- Ra St. Brown are organizational priorities, per Dan Campbell. Those talks are under way."

Detroit has made progress in securing the long-term prospects of Goff and St. Brown since the offense revolves around these two players on a weekly basis.

Hopefully, Detroit can remain a serious title contender in the NFC going forward, for the benefit of the Lions franchise.
