Harry Maguire understands that he cannot continue to wait for rare opportunities at Manchester United, and he is open to discuss his future at the club if he can earn consistent game time elsewhere. Maguire had previously been linked with Aston Villa, and his situation at United has been heavily scrutinized in recent months.
Maguire, who is still relied on by Gareth Southgate and England at international level, has not been given regular minutes under Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag. Maguire is up against Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, and Victor Lindelof for a starting spot. Jonny Evans, who signed a short-term contract, has also been relied on.
It casts doubt on Maguire’s long-term future in Manchester; he has less than two years left on his current contract, but he has no intention of his current situation and allowance of minutes continuing over that time, and he’d rather look elsewhere if it meant playing regularly again.

Tyrone Mings was crucial to Emery last season, but after suffering a long-term injury on the first weekend of the season, the Spaniard brought in support in the form of loanee Clement Lenglet.
