AC Milan intends to bolster its squad during the January transfer window

According to recent Italian media reports, Milan intends to bring in a handful of additional first-team squad possibilities in the January transfer window to fill a few gaps in their squad.

The Rossoneri are coming off a 0-0 draw away at Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening, which puts them in third position in their Champions League group thanks to Newcastle’s 4-1 triumph over PSG.

Despite being one of the busiest sides in Serie A during the summer window, Calciomercato.com reports that Stefano Pioli would still like to bring in some new faces in January, notably at full-back and in attack.

A new right-back is thought to be one of the objectives, and a new signing might come from the Bundesliga.

Milan are apparently interested in Freiburg’s 21-year-old Frenchman Kiliann Sildillia, while Joe Scally, a US international now at Borussia Moenchengladbach, might potentially be an appealing choice for Milan and their owners.

On the other side of the back four, Milan are likely to make a ‘concrete’ offer for Real Betis’ Juan Miranda, 23, in the coming days.

There’s also a clear target at center forward. The Rossoneri directors have high regard for Lille striker Jonathan David, who may be the ideal replacement for 37-year-old Olivier Giroud.
