Tottenham are aiming to secure a deal for Carlos Alcaraz from newly-promoted Southampton this summer by proposing a swap arrangement. The Argentine midfielder, who joined Southampton from Racing Club in January 2023, has scored eight goals in 47 appearances. He spent the latter part of last season on loan at Juventus, where he contributed one assist in 12 matches.
Southampton values Alcaraz at around £30 million, and Spurs are hoping to facilitate the transfer by including a player in the deal. According to The Sun, Tottenham plans to offload a £10 million-rated center-back as part of the exchange for Alcaraz.
Rodon has spent the last two seasons on loan with Rennes and Leeds.
Carlos Alcaraz is not the only player Ange Postecoglou’s side is interested in this summer.
