A Southampton player might now complete a shocking summer transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.

A Southampton player may still complete a surprising transfer to Tottenham Hotspur in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Following their promotion via the Championship play-offs, Southampton will be back in the Premier League for the 2024/25 season. Russell Martin’s team secured their return by defeating Leeds United 1-0 in the play-off final and seem active in the transfer market as the summer window officially commences on June 14th.

While Southampton is targeting several players, there are also potential departures from St Mary’s. Che Adams is increasingly likely to depart, with interest from Wolves and Nottingham Forest. Additionally, goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, whose contract, like Adams’, is expiring this summer, seems poised for a move elsewhere.

Now, however, another unexpected player, Kyle Walker-Peters, could also be on the move this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur is contemplating the return of Kyle Walker-Peters from Southampton. The 27-year-old showcased his talent during the 2023/24 season, making 46 appearances in Championship fixtures for Southampton and contributing two goals and four assists.

Walker-Peters has been associated with the Saints since 2020, initially arriving on loan from Spurs before permanently joining them. Throughout his time at Southampton, the right-back has amassed 167 appearances, scoring six goals and providing 13 assists.

A recent report from GIVEMESPORT has indicated that Walker-Peters has emerged as a surprising option for his former club Tottenham Hotspur as they look to strengthen their full-back options this summer.
