The Scotland squad for EURO 2024 includes Che Adams and Stuart Armstrong.

Saints forward Che Adams and the soon-to-depart Stuart Armstrong have been selected for Steve Clarke’s 26-man Scotland squad for EURO 2024.

Adams, who is reportedly in discussions over a new deal with Saints, was on the bench but didn’t play in their 2-2 draw against Finland on Friday. The 27-year-old scored 16 goals for Southampton in the Championship, helping them secure promotion to the Premier League, and also scored in Scotland’s recent 2-0 victory over Gibraltar.

Armstrong, despite not featuring in Scotland’s pre-tournament friendlies and having been sidelined since April due to injury, has also been included in the squad. The 32-year-old midfielder is set to leave Southampton when his contract expires.

Ahead of the tournament in Germany, Clarke omitted goalkeeper Craig Gordon and defender John Souttar from the initial 28-man squad.

Scotland’s first match will be against the hosts in the opening game at the Allianz Arena on Friday, June 14. They are joined by Hungary and Switzerland in Group A.

The full Scotland squad includes Angus Gunn, Zander Clark, Liam Kelly, Andy Robertson, Kieran Tierney, Jack Hendry, Ryan Porteous, Liam Cooper, Scott McKenna, Grant Hanley, Greg Taylor, Anthony Ralston, Ross McCrorie, Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie, Billy Gilmour, John McGinn, Kenny McLean, Scott McTominay, Stuart Armstrong, Ryan Jack, Che Adams, Tommy Conway, James Forrest, Lewis Morgan, and Lawrence Shankland.
