Round 14 Team Lists: Hynes out, Sailor in for Walsh, Suaalii cops four-game ban, and Penrith’s unexpected Edwards call

Joseph Suaalii will be out of the Roosters lineup for a month following his accusation of

Joseph Suaalii, who was sent off in Origin I after being charged with a grade-two dangerous high tackle, will miss a month of action for the Roosters.

The Roosters will make an announcement regarding their decision to accept the four-match ban or risk a fifth for their star center should they choose to dispute the judiciary this week, as the club is off this week.

The collision resulted in a category-one concussion for Brisbane fullback Reece Walsh, who will miss Saturday’s match at Suncorp Stadium against the Sharks. Nicho Hynes is being rested for the match because of a calf issue that Walsh brought into Origin.

Neither team has reported any injuries from the match, so it looks like the remainder of the Origin team will return for club football.

In place of Teig Wilton (shoulder), Cronulla coach Craig Fitzgibbon has selected his Origin lock Cameron McInnes for this weekend’s starting lineup.

Other than players whose teams have the bye this weekend, Hynes is the only member of either Origin team who was not included in the extended squad for their team’s match this weekend due to a right calf injury that has plagued him since early last month.

Instead, the Sharks will leave Hynes off of the field for the trip to Brisbane, starting Braydon Trindall and Daniel Atkinson in the halves of their match at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.

In-form fullback Charnze Nicole-Klokstad returns to New Zealand, and regular center Rocco Berry enters the game after missing last week’s game due to illness.
After disciplinary issues, Addin Fonua-Blake is back as the Wahs big man. Wayde Egan is back at the base of the ruck, with skipper Tohu Harris resuming his usual No. 13 position. Shaun Johnson (pec) will need to miss another week of play.

Due to the short turnaround, Cowboys coach Todd Payten has chosen not to include his Origin stars in the top 17, instead opting to start the Queensland representatives on an extended bench.

Despite scaring the Roosters with an above-horizontal tackle, Heilum Luki was chosen for the second row.

Depending on Stephen Crichton’s health, the Bulldogs will go into Easter Monday at full speed, as coach Ciraldo has selected his strongest lineup.

They take against the equally loaded Eels, who have also selected J’maine Hopgood as their lone Origin participant, in what promises to be an exciting public holiday match.

Ivan Cleary, the coach of the Panthers, has also decided to re-include all four of his Origin players, with Dylan Edwards being named on the extended bench but not yet ruled out.

He was cruelly denied his Origin debut due to a quad issue, but he has been named in Penrith’s reserves and may be able to force his way into the starting lineup for Sunday’s match against Manly. Edwards will be evaluated prior to the game as he is still in the NSW camp and has not yet returned to the Panthers following his injury on Saturday.

Moses Leota, the triple premiership-winning prop who left last week’s loss to St George Illawarra due to a hamstring injury, has been named by Penrith.

Following Cody Walker’s recovery from the minor calf ailment that derailed his chances in NSW, the two will play together in the South Sydney halves for the first time.

Walker is returning for the Rabbitohs’ match against the Gold Coast, where veteran Kieran Foran is available following a hamstring injury and cunning fullback Jayden Campbell is back from a knee injury.

Following the confirmation by the club that Bailey Simonsson would miss the balance of the season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Parramatta rookie Blaize Talagi enters the backline to take on Canterbury.
