Preview of the Game: The Fever host the Sky in Indianapolis for the second meeting this season.

On Sunday, the Indiana Fever will host the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for their second matchup of the regular season, part of a series of four games between the teams. Their first encounter on June 1 saw Indiana narrowly defeat the Sky 71-70 at home, powered by a strong 18-point performance from Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell. Mitchell, averaging 15.4 points per game, ranks in the top 20 for scoring in the WNBA. Additionally, Fever center Aliyah Boston and guards Caitlin Clark and Kristy Wallace all contributed double-digit points in the previous game against the Sky.

Indiana enters Sunday’s game fresh off a 91-84 victory against the Atlanta Dream, marking their highest-scoring game of the 2024 season. Aliyah Boston shined with a career-high tying 27 points and a season-best 13 rebounds, while Kelsey Mitchell added a season-high 24 points.

Chicago, on the other hand, arrives in Indianapolis on a three-game losing streak, their longest so far this season, following an 83-81 defeat against the Washington Mystics. Despite not starting in any games this season, Sky guard Chennedy Carter remains a critical contributor off the bench, leading Chicago with 16 points in their recent loss and scoring 19 points in their last encounter with Indiana.

Rookie center Kamilla Cardoso made her WNBA debut against Indiana after recovering from a shoulder injury at the start of the season. Since her return, Cardoso leads all rookies in field goal percentage (52.8%) and ranks third in rebounds (5.7 rpg), trailing only Angel Reese who leads with 10.0 rebounds per game. Caitlin Clark also features prominently among rookies, leading in scoring with 15.6 points per game, while Reese tops the steals category with 1.83 steals per game, followed closely by Clark with 1.36 steals per game.
