Panthers sign a deal outside of their debut NRL season.

The Penrith Panthers have signed Jack Cole, one of their most impressive reserve-grade players, to his maiden NRL contract. Jack Cole has been a standout performer in the Panthers’ lower grades, showcasing his skills and potential, which has now earned him a place in the top tier of the NRL. This move reflects the Panthers’ commitment to developing homegrown talent and rewarding players who excel within their system.

David Fale, an impressive performer in the NSW Cup with the Penrith Panthers, has signed a multi-year NRL deal, marking his first contract in the top tier. Fale, who debuted in reserve grade last season, has made a significant impact in his 11 games this season, scoring three tries, managing 20 tackle busts, and achieving three line-breaks, while averaging 67 running meters per match.

With this new NRL deal, Fale will compete for two vacant backline spots next season against players like Paul Alamoti, Jesse McLean, Daine Laurie, Casey McLean, Asu Kepaoa, and Isaiah Iongi. These vacancies arise from Sunia Turuva’s departure to the Wests Tigers and Taylan May’s impending contract termination.

Penrith also faces contract decisions for six players at the end of the season, although this number may drop to four with Paul Alamoti and Daine Laurie reportedly agreeing to new deals. The players still without a contract for the 2025 NRL season include Matthew Eisenhuth, Tyrone Peachey, and Luke Sommerton.
