During the NBA trade deadline, there were reports indicating that the New York Knicks expressed interest in acquiring an All-Star guard.

The New York Knicks were extremely active ahead of February’s NBA trade deadline, pulling off multiple blockbuster deals.

The New York Knicks made significant moves ahead of February’s NBA trade deadline, including acquiring versatile “three-and-D” wing OG Anunoby from the Toronto Raptors. These transactions were pivotal in the Knicks’ journey to reach the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Despite their best efforts, the Knicks were unable to secure the addition of six-time All-Star guard Kyle Lowry. Instead, Lowry ended up joining the rival Philadelphia 76ers after being bought out. It seems that the Knicks were actively pursuing Lowry before he ultimately chose to sign with Philadelphia.

According to sources cited by Fred Katz of The Athletic, Kyle Lowry was considered by the New York Knicks following his buyout with the Charlotte Hornets last winter. However, despite their interest, Lowry eventually opted to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers.

After being traded from the Miami Heat to the Charlotte Hornets, Kyle Lowry was involved in a deal that saw Terry Rozier move to South Beach. Subsequently, Lowry was bought out by the Charlotte Hornets, and he chose to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers instead.
