It’s reported that JJ Redick spent Saturday meeting with Los Angeles Lakers officials, indicating he’s a strong candidate for their vacant head coaching position. Redick, previously an NBA sharpshooter and currently an analyst, has become available for the role after concluding his Finals duties.
Shams Charania, speaking on “The Pat McAfee Show,” highlighted Redick’s extensive discussions with Lakers management, including Rob Pelinka and team ownership. Charania suggested the Lakers are poised to accelerate their coaching search now that Redick’s schedule is free.
Redick’s potential as a head coach is bolstered by his basketball acumen and his rapport with current players, especially his relationship with LeBron James.
