Jaidon Anthony’s future at Bournemouth has been decided following his loan stint at Leeds United.

Bournemouth have reportedly made a decision regarding the future of Jaidon Anthony following his loan spell at Leeds United during the 2023/24 season. Anthony’s time at Elland Road was challenging, as he found it difficult to secure a regular place in the team, making only two league starts. His limited impact saw him become the fourth choice winger under manager Daniel Farke, behind Crysencio Summerville, Willy Gnonto, and Dan James.

In a recent message to supporters on Instagram, Anthony hinted that he would not be returning to Leeds on a permanent basis. Despite his lack of game time, his future remains a subject of interest, particularly since both Summerville and Gnonto are rumored to be potential departures from Leeds this summer. This situation could potentially affect Anthony’s prospects and decisions regarding his next steps.

Bournemouth’s boss Andoni Iraola has reportedly made a decision regarding Jaidon Anthony’s future. Iraola has addressed Anthony’s situation multiple times throughout the season, most recently in May, where he acknowledged the challenging campaign Anthony had after being sent out on loan to Leeds United.

Despite being initially content with Anthony’s loan move last August, Iraola has expressed a renewed interest in the winger earlier in 2024. He made it clear that Anthony is a player he wants to work with again during the pre-season, even though Anthony’s progress had stalled during his time at Leeds.

Iraola’s decision to bring Anthony back for pre-season training suggests that Bournemouth still see potential in him and are keen to provide him with another opportunity to integrate into the squad and potentially secure a place in the team for the upcoming season. This decision comes in the context of a possible shake-up in Leeds United’s winger positions, with key players like Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto potentially on the move, which could have influenced Bournemouth’s decision to reassess Anthony’s role in their squad.
