Greg McElroy Issues Audacious Forecast for Florida State’s Season in 2024

Greg McElroy shared his thoughts on the Florida State Seminoles for 2024 during Tuesday’s edition of Always College Football, stirring up quite a discussion.

Last year, Florida State finished the regular season undefeated and advanced to the ACC Championship, only to be left out of the College Football Playoff despite winning the title. The Michigan Wolverines, Washington Huskies, Texas Longhorns, and Alabama Crimson Tide were chosen over Florida State.

McElroy predicted that Florida State would remain atop the ACC, even with new additions to their roster. Notably, former Oregon State Beavers and Clemson Tigers quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has joined the Seminoles, along with former Alabama running back Roydell Williams.

McElroy also highlighted the Miami Hurricanes and Clemson Tigers as strong contenders in the ACC.

“The ACC is deep, man. It’s really deep. Especially at the top, I think there’s six or seven teams that are very dangerous in that league,” McElroy said. “But the three that I anticipate being there at the end are Miami, Florida State, Clemson.”

The Seminoles have the second-most ACC titles with 16, trailing only Clemson, which has 21. Another ACC Championship would be significant for Mike Norvell and his team in Tallahassee.
