Florida State’s 5-star quarterback prospect Brady Smigiel is given professional projections.

Florida State’s 2026 recruiting efforts are gaining momentum, with the Seminoles currently ranked as the second-best recruiting class according to 247Sports Composite rankings. They have secured commitments from three standout prospects: four-star wide receivers Darryon Williams and Efrem White, along with four-star safety Darryl Bell III.

Despite the optimism surrounding these commitments, a segment of the fan base remains cautious until the recruits officially sign their commitments. This apprehension stems from the volatility of today’s college football landscape, where players can enter the transfer portal even before playing a single snap for their new teams.

Head coach Mike Norvell recognizes the significance of building a strong foundation through recruiting, viewing it as essential for the program’s sustained success. His commitment to recruiting has shown promising signs recently, particularly with the emergence of expert predictions favoring Florida State to land five-star quarterback Brady Smigiel from Newbury, California.

Brady Smigiel, a highly touted quarterback prospect for the Class of 2026, had an impressive 2023 season, completing 282 passes for 4,222 yards, with 52 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. His visit to Tallahassee in April further solidified his connection with Coach Norvell and quarterbacks coach Tony Tokarz, underscoring their efforts to recruit him since offering him a scholarship on January 17, 2023.

The potential addition of Smigiel to Florida State’s quarterback room, which already includes Brock Glenn, Luke Kromenhoek, Trever Jackson, and 2025 four-star Tramell Jones Jr., has fans and analysts excited about the team’s future prospects at the quarterback position. If Smigiel decides to commit to the Seminoles, it could elevate their quarterback depth to a legendary level, setting a strong foundation for years to come.
