After discussions with Southampton, Wolves submit an offer from Che Adams – sources

It sounds like Wolves are keen on bringing Che Adams into their ranks before his contract with Southampton ends. Negotiations have been ongoing, and it seems they’re progressing well. If the deal goes through, it could be an exciting move for both Adams and Wolves.

Reports suggest that Southampton’s return to the Premier League could lead to Che Adams remaining at St Mary’s, contrary to previous expectations of his departure. Talks are ongoing between Adams and Southampton regarding a contract extension, given his five-year tenure in Hampshire. Despite his expressed desire to play in the Premier League next season, which Southampton can now offer following their play-off final victory over Leeds United, Adams might opt to stay.

Wolves have long shown interest in Adams, with reports indicating they targeted him during the January transfer window. Initially, Wolves seemed poised to secure Adams on a free transfer, but recent developments have altered the situation. Adams had a standout season with Southampton, tallying 17 goals and six assists in 46 appearances. Notably, 14 of those goals came in the current calendar year, showcasing his impact in securing promotion for Southampton.

Adams has previously demonstrated his capabilities in the Premier League, scoring 25 goals in 124 top-flight appearances. As negotiations continue between Adams and Southampton, he faces the decision of whether to prolong his stay at St Mary’s, despite having received a contract offer from Wolves.
