16 Derby County games have already been selected for live Sky Sports coverage in 2024–2025.

Derby County’s first Championship match against Blackburn Rovers will be broadcast live by Sky Sports, signaling what’s in store as part of the EFL’s £935m TV deal. With 16 guaranteed televised games already lined up, Derby fans can expect ample live coverage following their return to the second tier.

Sky Sports will broadcast all opening and final day fixtures, along with midweek league matches and games on significant holidays like Easter, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Additionally, every Carabao Cup match will be shown live for as long as Derby remains in the competition.

Under the new TV deal, Sky Sports will broadcast 10 matches regularly on weekends, featuring five from the Championship and others from League One and League Two. These games will typically span Friday nights, Saturday and Sunday at 12:30 pm kick-offs, with occasional Thursday and Monday night fixtures also included.

Sky has committed to announcing their selections for August and September within a week of the fixture lists being released. This represents a significant improvement in notice periods compared to the past, addressing a longstanding concern for many Derby fans.
